A Review in Art in America!

Jan Adlmann wrote a glowing review of Signe Stuart's June show at William Siegal Gallery here in Santa Fe, and it finally appeared in print.  You can find it on page 180 of the October issue, with an image of Quinacra Crossings.

Adlmann writes: "Stuart's resolutely nonobjective, mesmerizing paintings on stitched canvases have long been admired in Santa Fe.  Her work and, before that, the work of O'Keeffe, Agnes Martin and Florence Pierce - to name New Mexico's most stellar doyennes - have raised the bar of serious art in this city awash in souvenirs."
